Thomas is a Registered Psychologist and advocate for mental health awareness.

Thomas completed his Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, and Master of Organisational Psychology at Griffith University. Using both general psychological concepts and those of work and organisational psychology, Thomas now works alongside employee assistance program providers to facilitate seminars and workshops on a wide range of mental health and skill development topics, for staff in companies and organisations across Australia and internationally. This has included everything from assisting staff to transition to working from home, to time management, to dealing with workplace stress.

Within private practice, Thomas offers general counselling services along with coaching for skills, work, and life. He has experience in working with adults who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, depression, work difficulties and relationship issues. Thomas takes the approach that care doesn’t have to be rigid and formal, it can be achieved through collaboration. In addition, Thomas has a special interest in working with adult clients who are seeking support with setting goals, building skills, and coaching through anxieties to achieve their goals.

Thomas approaches his work using a range of perspectives including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Coaching, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Thomas aims to create a relaxed, non-judgmental setting, and believes that listening and having a chat is a way to create positive change.

In his spare time, Thomas is an avid reader and fan of tabletop games, with a love for fantasy and science fiction which brings the strange and fantastical to life.
