Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) - Bs. Nutr&Diet
Christen-Lee Bezuidenhout is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University, Gold Coast. With experience working in private practices across the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales regions, Christen-Lee prioritizes building strong and meaningful relationships with individuals, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their journey toward optimised nutrition and enhanced health outcomes.
Christen-Lee supports individuals with eating disorders and disordered eating behaviours, helping them foster a positive relationship with food and their bodies. While remaining focused on the intentional goals that she sets with those she provides care for in these areas, Christen-Lee understands and is compassionate throughout this journey. Christen-Lee has strong interests in paediatric nutrition, focusing on promoting growth and wellbeing, addressing eating challenges, and supporting neurodivergent children and teens in optimising their nutrition – particularly in addressing nutrient deficiencies from limited food intake and/or food variety.
Within the area of women’s health, Christen-Lee offers tailored dietary advice for endometriosis, PCOS, and pregnancy nutrition. Additionally, Christen-Lee has experience in gut and digestive health, providing tailored dietary strategies to enhance gut health as well as symptom management in the areas of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Coeliac Disease.
Being born in South Africa, Christen-Lee migrated to Australia at a young age, and still speaks fluent Afrikaans. Outside of her professional work, Christen-Lee enjoys baking, cooking, running, strength training, and engaging in any activities that combine movement, adventure and/or the enjoyment of food. She is passionate about her women’s run club which she founded on the Gold Coast, where members gather for sunrise runs followed by coffee and the occasional pastry. Christen-Lee loves spending time at the beach, visiting fresh produce markets, and connecting with loved ones. Being an avid listener of evidence-based podcasts focused on food, nutrition science, and the latest research in health and wellness, Christen-Lee continually aims to refine her dietetic knowledge.
