Clare completed a Bachelor and Master of Social Work at QUT and is a qualified Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers. Prior to working in Social Work, Clare worked in training and HR in several areas including mining, and local and state government. Clare developed an interest in Indigenous Health whilst working in the Cape (Pormpuraaw) and completed her studies in Social Work including her Master’s.

Clare is able to build rapport with individuals and support them to true recovery from depression, anxiety, addiction, grief and loss, and trauma using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness therapies.

Claire also has experience as an Indigenous Specialist case manager for Open Minds as well as community and hospital areas of mental health with NSW Health and QLD Health where she is currently still employed. Clare works from a person-centred, recovery based, inclusive and holistic practice including mindfulness.

In her free time, Clare loves gardening, scuba diving and the outdoors.
