Krissy is a registered psychologist with a special interest in working with children, adolescents, and their families.

Krissy completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours (First Class) in Psychology at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She completed her two year internship at CBT Professionals and had the privilege to work across the lifespan and find her passion working with children and their families.

Krissy’s approach is compassionate and empathetic, whist ensuring sessions are focused on goals and values. Krissy believes in collaboration and the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance.

Krissy works with a range of presentations including anxiety, ADHD, Autism, depression, and challenging behaviours. She has a particular interest in childhood development, parenting, and ADHD. Krissy also conducts child assessments for ADHD and Autism. Krissy has experience in working closely with parents, children and adolescents experiencing complex challenges and trauma, utilising a strengths-based, trauma-informed framework. Krissy also completed a postgraduate qualification in human nutrition at Deakin University and works with childhood feeding difficulties including Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Krissy’s practice is grounded in evidence-based techniques, utilising strategies and interventions backed by research to support clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.

As a mother to three herself, Krissy understands and appreciates the complexities of parenting. Krissy believes that building a respectful, safe, and trusting therapeutic relationship (with a side of fun and play when working with children) is key to successful outcomes. Krissy’s goal is to work alongside her clients with kindness and respect.
