Ingrid Bindicsova

BPsych(Hons)., PhD Candidate


Ingrid completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours at the University of Queensland (UQ) and she is currently completing the Master of Professional Psychology program at the University of Southern Queensland. Additionally, she is at the final stage of her PhD candidature at the UQ. Her research area is chronic pain, specifically, she and her collaborators developed and pilot tested an Internet delivered mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for chronic pain management.

As a Provisional Psychologist at CBT Professionals Ingrid aims to support clients on their journey to achieve improved mental wellbeing. She focuses on creating a space where clients feel safe and heard. Ingrid’s approach to clients and their experiences is empathetic and compassionate. Ingrid has experience to work with adolescents, young and older adults with ADHD, anxiety, stress, trauma and depression.

Ingrid utilises evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Schema therapy. She has a clinical interest in anxiety and mood disorders comorbid with chronic pain, emotion regulation and ADHD related difficulties in adults. Ingrid has co-authored several research articles on chronic pain and rural cancer surveyors’ experiences. Besides English Ingrid speaks Hungarian and Slovak.

In her free time Ingrid likes reading, spending time with family and going for long walks in rainforests.
