Preeti is a registered psychologist who completed Master of Clinical Psychology degree from the University of Queensland and is undergoing the clinical psychology registrar program. Prior to this, she completed her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) from India.
While undergoing her training, Preeti worked in several public and private clinics in Australia. She has been trained in treating various psychological presentations such as depression, anxiety, stress and burnt out, low self-esteem, substance use disorder, adjustment to life transition, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties. She operates from various evidence-based frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment based Therapy (ACT) and several others.
As a therapist, Preeti aims to create a safe space for clients by using an empathetic, compassionate, non-judgemental, and individualised approach. Her aim is to help clients generate insight into their behaviours, develop healthy coping skills to manage their presenting concerns, and lead a meaningful and enriching life.
Preeti is interested in working with young people and adults with diverse clinical conditions. She welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life. She is open to conducting sessions in Hindi, if needed.
