Preeti is a registered psychologist who has recently completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology from the University of Queensland and is currently undergoing the clinical psychology registrar program. Prior to this, Preeti completed her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) from India. While undergoing her training, Preeti worked in various public and private clinics in Australia, such as the Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) Logan, Alcohol and other drugs services- Biala Community Health Centre, Queensland Health, UQ Psychology Clinic, and other private clinics. Prior to coming to Australia, Preeti worked as a psychologist in a psychiatric and substance use rehabilitation centre in India. Preeti has also worked as a social communication therapist with children with neurodevelopment disorders and their families in India.

Preeti has been trained in treating several psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress and burnt out, low self esteem, personality disorders, substance use disorder, adjustment to life transition, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties. Preeti operates from various evidence based frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment based Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma focused therapies, and several others. As a therapist, Preeti aims to create a safe space for clients by using an empathetic, compassionate, non-judgemental and individualised approach. Her aim is to help clients generate insight into their own patterns and behaviours, develop healthy coping skills to manage their presenting concerns, and lead a meaningful and enriching life.

Preeti is interested in working with adults with diverse clinical conditions. Moreover, she has a strong interest in working with children and families. She believes that intervening at an early age with the right intervention can be life changing for children and young people as well as their families. Preeti welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life and is open to conducting sessions in Hindi, if needed. Apart from work, Preeti is busy travelling (exploring new places), learning martial arts, reading, being creative, and socialising.
