Kelli completed her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) at the University of Queensland and then went on to complete her Honours (Psychology) and Masters of Clinical Psychology at Bond University. Kelli has been working as a Clinical Psychologist for 12 years, with experience in both the private and public sectors. Kelli specialises in working with adults and has extensive experience with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress-related issues (including work and relationship stress), life transitions and changes, grief and loss, low self-worth, and health issues impacting psychological wellbeing. Kelli has a particular interest in the practice of mindfulness, having completed extensive training in this area, and enjoys running mindfulness groups. Kelli is passionate about assisting individuals in cultivating mindfulness into daily life, as well as developing a more compassionate and loving relationship with themselves. Kelli personally practices meditation and mindfulness, and has experienced the positive impact mindfulness has had in her own life. Kelli is committed to ongoing professional and personal development in this area.
Kelli’s approach is warm, compassionate and client-centred, and she provides a safe space for client’s to explore the links between their life and internal experiences. Kelli believes in taking a holistic approach to assist individuals to make the changes in their life that they desire. Kelli is inspired to support clients to learn new strategies and tools to move through life’s challenges, as well aligning with their own personal values to create a life that is meaningful, joyful and fulfilling for them.
Kelli draws on various evidence-based therapeutic modalities to tailor counselling to the individual. Kelli offers Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy.
