Kate is a Registered Psychologist, who is currently completing a Masters of Clinical Psychology at Charles Sturt University. Kate is experienced working across the lifespan with various presentations including anxiety and depressive disorders, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, substance use, acute stress management, emotion regulation, relationship difficulties and poor self-esteem.

Kate has a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults, having experience in both therapeutic and educational contexts. Kate believes working with youth provides an opportunity to proactively intervene at a time where decisions can significantly alter individual lifetime trajectories. Kate also enjoys working with people to build positive relationships, including couples and parents with their children.

Additionally, Kate has experience working with individuals who have incurred an injury (physical and psychological) at work and implementing critical incidence response counselling. Drawing on her previous experience in business management and sales, Kate has extensive experiencing in facilitating training for organisations and working with individuals to better manage workplace stress, improve their communication, goal setting and productivity skills.

Kate utilises various evidence-based treatments in her work, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Structured Problem Solving and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Kate combines evidenced based therapies with her high energy, sense of humour, honesty and a caring, non-judgemental, and genuine approach in her clinical practice. She strives to help her clients find their voice by creating a safe and supportive environment, whilst encouraging skill development and growth to attain treatment goals.
